Microsoft vs. Sony: Movie War ( Playstation 3, Xbox 360 )

Sony and Microsoft will release movies based off hit game titles from Xbox and Playstation 2.

Microsoft is planning a 2006 launch for The Halo movie - the same timeframe as Halo 3 on the Xbox 360, which will arrive at around the same time as the launch of the PlayStation 3 according to Microsoft chairman Bill Gates.

Now, Universal Pictures has bought the rights to create a film adaptation of Sony Computer Entertainment's critically acclaimed PlayStation 2 action-adventure, God of War, according to trade magazine Variety.
